Using only the highest quality

We are always seeking the best quality products, only using premium brands that deliver the longevity and finish you don’t get with mainstream options.

Why choose Primashield to paint your industrial property?

We have vast experience in industrial painting, having started out in WA’s mining fields, and then moved to Perth, where we continue to provide commercial and industrial painting services. Signing off on JSAs and other documentation/regulations are no problem, and we are fully insured and trained to work in industrial environments.

Over 15 years in the industry

Primashield has more than 15 years industry experience, starting out in the harsh climate of the WA minefields. We’re aware of the requirements of commercial and industrial worksites for hard wearing paint, as well as the safety protocols and paperwork to be on site.

PREMIUM, LONG- LASTING PAINTWORK

We use the highest grade paint that can withstand the hard knocks of the industrial environment, while taking the same care and attention to detail that we would give to a home in Perth’s best suburbs. This includes repairs, preparation and paint application using Taubman’s professional products that are manufactured for long life and resistance to wear and tear.

Precise Attention To Detail

Industrial buildings may be rough and tumble places, but that doesn’t mean they deserve a slapdash paint job. We take great care with all details of the process, so your site looks good to staff, clients and visitors, and will not need to be repainted too soon due to peeling, cracking and flaking, which could jeopardise your business.

Warranties, Accreditations & Insurances

Primashield is covered by public liability insurance, and our team also has the necessary accreditations to work on industrial sites. We provide a six-year workmanship warranty on all our work, and you can rely on us to be there to assist with any issues that may arise in the future.

Our specialised painting process

1

Sealing The Surface

After the surface has been repaired, it’s time for preparation, which means a coat of quality primer, sealer undercoat. This ensures your colour coats adhere properly to the surface, and even application. A good quality thick primer also protects the underlying material, such as plasterboard, weatherboard or brick, from corrosion and other damage. Badly prepared and primed surfaces cause your paint to peel, so we ensure the most thorough cleaning, best quality products and application.

2

Coating Application

This second layer, applied over the primer, is the first coat of your chosen colour. At this stage you won’t get the full depth of the colour, but you will start to see the effect. We are very selected with the brands we use, to ensure high quality ingredients that result in a thick, long-lasting paint surface that prevents bleed through from the subsurface and gives depth to the final coat.

3

FINISHING COAT

This is the second colour coat. The thick smooth quality of our paint provides an even finish as well as an extra layer of protection and durability for the surface. The second coat allows the full depth of the colour to be seen, enhances its gloss and shine, and ensures a long-lasting result that will be easy to clean, as well as resistant to fading and scuffing.

How to check you are getting a quality painter, whoever you decide on!

Ask for their trade license or registration

In WA only registered or licensed painters can legally carry out painting work over $1000. Qualified painters and decorators are trained tradespeople who have been trained in all the techniques to achieve a long lasting, quality finish. Always ask any painter who you are considering hiring for their license or registration number.

Check their reputation

Check the WA Register of Painters to see if the painter you are considering hiring is genuinely registered, as required for any painting work over $1000, or has any complaints lodged against them.

Ask for references

Ask any painter you are considering hiring for references for previous jobs, and make sure you give them a call. Photos may not show imperfections, so it’s a good idea to talk to people who’ve had work done

What are VOCs?

Volatile Organic Compounds, or VOCs, are a group of chemical compounds that can easily evaporate into the air at room temperature. These compounds contain carbon and are known for their ability to contribute to air pollution and potentially pose health risks. VOCs can be emitted from a variety of sources, including certain paints, solvents, cleaning products, and building materials.

In the context of paints, VOCs are often used as solvents to keep the paint in a liquid state and facilitate its application. As the paint dries, these compounds are released into the air, contributing to indoor air pollution. Prolonged exposure to high levels of VOCs may lead to adverse health effects, such as respiratory irritation, headaches, and other symptoms.

To address environmental and health concerns, many manufacturers now produce low-VOC or zero-VOC paints. These formulations contain reduced or no harmful VOCs, making them more environmentally friendly and promoting healthier indoor air quality. Choosing low-VOC or zero-VOC paints is particularly important in settings where ventilation is limited, such as indoor spaces with poor airflow.
